{"id":16040,"date":"2026-08-28T10:18:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:18:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mscw\/?post_type=article&#038;p=16040"},"modified":"2026-08-31T11:25:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T01:25:26","slug":"year-11-legal-studies-incursion","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mscw\/article\/year-11-legal-studies-incursion\/","title":{"rendered":"Year 11 Legal Studies Incursion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our Year 11 Legal Studies students recently had the opportunity to spend the morning with Inspector Robertson and Senior Constable Duncan from the NSW Police Public Order and Riot Squad, gaining valuable insight into the role of policing within the legal system and its response to a range of criminal offences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the session, Inspector Robertson and Senior Constable Duncan explored key aspects of their work, including their responsibilities as police officers, the use of force in carrying out their duties, and the challenges of balancing the rights to freedom of speech and protest with the need to maintain public safety and community order.
