{"id":15951,"date":"2026-08-07T09:14:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T23:14:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mscw\/?post_type=article&#038;p=15951"},"modified":"2026-08-07T09:14:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T23:14:14","slug":"swap-art-prize","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mscw\/article\/swap-art-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"SWAP Art Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Year 10 Visual Arts students Allegra, Kaysie, Eva, Annabelle and Gabriella, whose upcycled wearable artworks have been selected for exhibition in the 2026 Sustainable Waste 2 Art Prize (SWAP).<\/p>\n<p>SWAP is an environmental art competition that promotes sustainability through artworks and design objects made from upcycled waste materials. This year, more than $5,000 in prizes are on offer across multiple categories, with around 80 shortlisted works selected for exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will be held at See Street Gallery from Friday 4 September to Saturday 19 September 2026, and will be open 11.00am to 4.00pm, Tuesday to Saturday (closed Sundays and Mondays).<\/p>\n<p>Our students&#8217; wearable art pieces demonstrate outstanding creativity, innovation and a thoughtful approach to sustainability, transforming discarded materials into striking works of art.
