Dear MSCW Community<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We\u2019re officially in Week 6 of Term 3 (yes, already!). If you\u2019re feeling a little flat right now, you\u2019re not alone\u2026surveys say Week 7 of Term 3 is actually the toughest week of school in Australia! Between assessments, exams, sport, and winter dragging on\u2026 it\u2019s a lot.<\/span><\/p>\n

But here\u2019s the flip side: look at how much each year group has already achieved this term. Every single year has pushed through challenges, decisions and growth. With Year 7 nearly done their first year of high school, Year 8 choosing electives, Year 9 on Camp, Year 10 picking senior subjects, Year 11 getting ready to commence Prelims, and Year 12 preparing to graduate, there is no doubt that EVERYONE has something to be proud of.<\/span><\/p>\n

So instead of aiming for \u201cperfect\u201d this term, let\u2019s celebrate the small wins. The friend who makes you laugh, the teacher who checks in, the assessment you finish even when you\u2019d rather not. Those moments matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s Coming Up from the Student Leadership Team<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n

  • Captains’ Corner launching soon: A new noticeboard hub with updates, shot-outs, and things you won\u2019t want to miss. You\u2019ll have to look around to find it, but when you do, you\u2019ll be in on the updates, shout-outs, and maybe even a few surprises.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Jersey Day on the 5th of September: Wear a Jersey, Bring a Gold Coin or Donate via Flexischools to support Organ Donation Awareness.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Winter Sleepout: Our Vinnies Winter Sleepout is approaching on Friday 5th September, focusing on the theme of Empathy In Action: Lasting Impact of Homelessness.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • R U OK? Day – During Week 8, the WSU Captains will be running homeroom activities to spark mental health conversations. On Thursday the 11th of September, tables will be set up around the college with teachers and counsellors, and students are encouraged to stop by for a chat \u2014 no topic is too small.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • World Cleanup Day on the 19th of September: As part of our <\/span>Keen to Clean <\/span><\/i>initiative, the College Co-Captains will be running activities so we look after our spaces and show how small actions add up.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    So MSCW, hang in there. Keep showing up. And let\u2019s finish Term 3 with energy, goodness, and heart.<\/span><\/p>\n
