I had the privilege of attending the recent Year 7 Camp, and it was wonderful to witness our youngest MSCW students stepping into new adventures with such enthusiasm. For some, it was their first time away from home\u2014a big milestone in itself. The students navigated unfamiliar settings, took on fresh challenges, and encouraged each other through every step. The comradery, encouragement and supportive shouts of \u201cyou got this!\u201d were a genuine display of the sisterhood that is truly part of our MSCW culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have always believed that camp plays a powerful role in students\u2019 development. The time away from the classroom creates space for a different type of growth and learning. It was great to see new connections emerge and existing relationships strengthen as students braved the 30 metre high \u2018Goliath\u2019 giant swing, abseil down a rockface, take aim in archery or balance on the high ropes course. Students displayed courage and further developed their teamwork skills and confidence. Many discovered new gifts that they can share with the MSCW community.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am very grateful to the dedicated staff who made this camp experience possible. Their care, encouragement and support created a safe and exciting environment for our students to thrive. I particularly thank Miss Grace Spurr, Assistant Leader of Wellbeing, who did an exemplary job in organising and leading the camp.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
