The School Counselling program is a free, short-term service offered to MSCW students needing access to 1:1 counselling. Qualified and experienced Counsellors\u00a0provide a safe and private space for students to discuss their concerns and receive support.\u00a0Eligibility requirements ensure\u00a0resources are available to those who need them most.<\/p>\n

Counsellors may advocate for the wellbeing needs of students within the school and\u00a0can work with students and their families\u00a0to explore further specialised support\u00a0and connect them with external services as needed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Counsellors can work with external mental health professionals to ensure cohesive support\u00a0and relevant support plans are appropriately informed.<\/p>\n

Referrals can be made through the student’s House Coordinator or students can self-refer.\u00a0

The Australian Psychology Society’s<\/a>\u00a0(APS) Find a Psychologist directory gives you access to thousands of psychologists across Australia. You can search by location or area of practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia’s<\/a>\u00a0(PACFA) Find a Therapist\u00a0directory\u00a0will assist you to find a therapist by proximity to you, languages spoken, whether they offer telehealth, private health rebates\u00a0etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n
