""It has been fantastic to see Year 8 students embracing hat wearing at recess and lunchtime. Accountability Points for missing hats did start this week, so please remind and encourage your daughter to bring and wear hers each day. Hat rule reminders:

– In Term 4, students are to wear any hat (with a sun shade brim) at recess and lunchtime. Santa hats and Chefs hats are not sun safe or do not have a brim.

– From Term 1 2027, students must wear either the navy MLC School cap or bucket hat so please use this term to purchase those items if required.

– Hats must be on at recess and lunch for all students outside, even if they are seated in the shade. Hats must also be worn, and not just carried around.

There is also a lot of excitement this week with the Middle Years Leaders nominations closing, and Year 8 nominees presenting their speeches to their Houses on Friday. All of the students who have put themselves forward are wonderful candidates and I am very pleased they have shown such courage to apply.
