As we approach the end of term, I would like to acknowledge the effort Year 9 students have put into preparing for and completing their assessments. With the main assessment period now behind them, I hope students can enjoy a calmer final week, take pride in their hard work and finish the term well.<\/p>\n

It has also been lovely to see students contributing so positively beyond the classroom. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Dance Showcase, where the talent, confidence and dedication of our students were clearly on display. A huge congratulations to all of our dancers, and sincere thanks to the parents and carers who supported them through the many extra rehearsals and practices in the lead up to the showcase.<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s House Athletics Carnival provided another opportunity to celebrate the energy and spirit of the cohort. I was incredibly proud of the way Year 9 participated, cheered for one another and encouraged their peers to give each event a go. Their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and willingness to support each other were a wonderful reflection of the character within this group, and I continue to see many future leaders emerging among them.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, our school community will celebrate Year 12 as MLC School prepares to farewell them next week. We have a number of Year 9 students with siblings in Year 12, and I hope this will be a special time for their families as they share in the celebrations and reflect on this important milestone.<\/p>\n

As always, thank you for your continued support of our Year 9 students. I hope families are able to enjoy a restful weekend and a positive final week of term.<\/p>\n
