\"\"<\/a>Week 6 has certainly been a busy one! As part of our Book Week celebrations, Year 8 students enjoyed spending time with their Year 12 Big Sisters, sharing in activities inspired by this year’s theme \u2018Symphony of Stories\u2019. It was wonderful to see students continuing their connections across year groups and celebrating a love of reading together. This week was STEM week with the theme \u2018Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All\u2019. There were many opportunities for students to engage in both Book and STEM week with diorama challenges, a spelling bee and the Book or STEM Dress Up on Friday!\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
As a cohort this week Year 8 attended a special Chapel service alongside visitors from Ballantine Memorial School in Suva. The service provided an opportunity to learn from one another, reflect on our global connections and celebrate the values that unite our school communities. During this week’s Year meeting, we focused on the topic of leadership. Students explored the many ways leadership can be demonstrated in daily school life, from setting a positive example and showing initiative to supporting others and contributing to the wider community.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Last\u00a0week\u00a0was also\u00a0Bullying No Way: National Week of Action<\/em>. Students took part in discussions and activities that encouraged them to reflect on the importance of kindness,\u00a0respect\u00a0and inclusion.\u00a0Year 8\u00a0were\u00a0reminded\u00a0students that everyone has a role to play in creating a community where others feel safe,\u00a0valued\u00a0and supported.\u00a0<\/div>\n

As we head towards the end of term, students are reminded to keep track of their upcoming assessment tasks. Week 7 and Week 8 are particularly busy and I\u2019d like to remind students to reach out to their teachers or Luminaries if they need assistance.\u00a0<\/div>\n
