Please come to the library to choose your bookmark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book Week Events &#8211; <em>Symphony of Stories<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Monday 24 August \u2013 Friday 28 August 2026 (Week 6).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Book Swap <\/em>Red Carpet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Booralee will host a <strong>pop-up bookstore<\/strong> on the <strong>red-carpet area<\/strong>. The bookstore will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, during recess and lunch. Students will have the opportunity to purchase books with a gold coin donation. Pre K, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will have a designated time to purchase with their class.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tuesday 25 August:<\/strong> Year 1 to Year 2<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday 26 August<\/strong>:\u00a0 Pre-Kindergartern &#8211; Kindergarten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We invite students to bring in gently used books from home. These books should be in good condition, free from scribbles, tears, or damage, and suitable for resale. The donated books will be sold to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday 28 August 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Book Picnic in classrooms<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>8.45am to 9.15am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parents and carers are welcome to join their daughter for a shared reading time. There just may be a celebrity read along too!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Book Parade<\/em> <br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>9.30am to 10am\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/strong>Sports Field<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for assisting your daughter to dress up for this year\u2019s Book Week Parade. Purchases will be delivered to the school prior to the visit. Students will be able to have the books signed on the day.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/38\/2026\/07\/Kate-Jol-Order-Form-Book-Week.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kate Jol Order Form Book Week<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bookmark Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Design a bookmark using \u201cSymphony of Stories\u201d or another reading theme. Blank bookmarks are available in the library. The winning entry for each grade wins a book by Kate and Jol Temple. The overall winning design will be used as a Junior School bookmark for the rest of 2026 and in 2027!<\/p>\n<p>Entries due by <strong>Monday 17 August 2026<\/strong>. Winners will be announced at the Book Parade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Premier\u2019s Reading Challenge 25 Year Anniversary Competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These two exciting opportunities are being offered by the Premier\u2019s Reading Challenge to celebrate 25 years of reading across NSW schools.
