Year 5 and Year 6 teams produced stories of 1,500–2,500 words, while Year 7 to Year 9 teams tackled the challenge of writing between 3,500–5,000 words. To add an extra layer of complexity, each team was required to incorporate a unique set of characters, words and story elements into their book.

Throughout the day, The Whitley Room was filled with creativity, collaboration and plenty of excitement as students brainstormed ideas, solved problems together and encouraged one another to meet the deadline.
