What a big week for Year 8! The excitement is mounting about elective selections and the Year 8 Immersion.\u00a0I will be heading to\u00a0Mudgee\u00a0with Group 1 and am looking forward to seeing those students\u00a0bright and early\u00a0on Monday morning.\u00a0Please remember to\u00a0check the packing list for\u00a0Mudgee, and the schedule for the Sydney Day trips. It looks like\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0going to be an amazing,\u00a0informative\u00a0and fantastic week. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As we are organising\u00a0a large cohort of students for the\u00a0Mudgee\u00a0section of the Immersion, we\u00a0please\u00a0ask that parents\u00a0and carers\u00a0quickly\u00a0say their goodbyes outside of\u00a0the\u00a0Kent House\u00a0gates as we need to keep the area around Kent House clear for safety when loading and heading onto the buses. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The\u00a0MLC School\u00a0camp mobile number is 0448 400 178. This number is for emergencies only<\/i>. If I need to contact a parent during the camp, it will be via this number.\u00a0Please do not message this number for general check ins \u2013 I will be\u00a0busy\u00a0spending time\u00a0with your\u00a0daughters,\u00a0face to face,\u00a0for the duration of the camp.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Unlike primary school camps, you will not be updated regularly on your child via Seesaw or another similar platform. As per the camp communication guidelines outlined in the Code of Conduct you can expect; an app message on arrival, one \u2013 two social media posts (not all students may be featured),\u00a0and an app message regarding return time to school once we have left the camp site.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n As much as you\u00a0might\u00a0want to know that your child is alright, please do not allow them to take their phone\u00a0or smartwatch\u00a0or ask them to take these devices\u00a0to camp. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Finally, it\u2019s\u00a0going to be cold! Ensure your child has thermal\u00a0clothes, a\u00a0very\u00a0warm jacket\u00a0and\u00a0a beanie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Finally, thank you to all those who attended the Elective Subject Selection Webinar on Wednesday night.
