\"\"<\/a>Welcome back to Term 3, and I\u2019d like to give a special welcome to our 4 new Year 8 families. We are excited to have you join this fabulous cohort of students. It has been a busy start to the term and I am very pleased with the way the students engaged with the Allwell Testing on Thursday. They approached these sessions with maturity and focus, giving their best effort and supporting one another throughout the process.<\/p>\n

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, students have had the opportunity to reflect on and learn more about the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, which leads into our Immersion experiences in Week 3. NAIDOC week, and our special NAIDOC assembly provided an important reminder of the value of listening, learning and recognising the rich contributions First Nations peoples make to our communities.<\/p>\n

Excitement is also building as we continue preparations for the upcoming Year 8 Immersion. Students should ensure they are checking communications and organising any required equipment and paperwork. There are 50 outstanding dietary forms<\/span>. Please complete these ASAP, the link to the form was sent out on the MLC School App this week! Our Immersions are always a wonderful opportunity to challenge ourselves, build new connections and create lasting memories, and we are looking forward to sharing this experience together.<\/p>\n
