Congratulations to\u00a0all of\u00a0our Year 12 students who\u00a0assisted\u00a0in some way, big or small in the wonderful display that was this year’s Illuminate. I was delighted to see such wonderful feedback from the Illuminate judges, who were impressed by the exceptional standard of the time capsules created by each House under the guidance of the House Captains and Heads of House. You should all be\u00a0very proud\u00a0of your efforts in creating such memorable items to\u00a0help\u00a0recognise\u00a0the school\u2019s 140th birthday! Thank you\u00a0and a BIG well done\u00a0also\u00a0goes out to our Arts Captain Seraphine McNamara,<\/strong> Design Captain Indi Hodgkinson,<\/strong>\u00a0Visual Arts Captain Maxine Hawkins,<\/strong> Crew\u00a0Captain Lilah<\/strong>\u00a0Randall,<\/strong> Drama Captain\u00a0EmmaSullivan<\/strong>\u00a0and Dance Captain Isabella Townsend<\/strong>\u00a0on their support of the setup,\u00a0presentations\u00a0and coordination of Illuminate! \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Tuesday, students explored practical strategies for studying more effectively in a presentation by Director of eLearning\u00a0Marianna<\/strong>\u00a0Carlino,<\/strong>\u00a0who introduced them to five key digital tools: Outlook, Microsoft\u00a0To\u00a0Do, Word,\u00a0Quizlet\u00a0and Copilot. The presentation encouraged students to use these tools purposefully to plan their\u00a0time ahead of examinations and assessments, break larger tasks into manageable steps,\u00a0organise\u00a0notes, revise through active\u00a0recall\u00a0and check their understanding through self-quizzing. Students were reminded to start small by choosing one tool to build into their study routine, then gradually adding others as they\u00a0continue to\u00a0develop consistent and sustainable study habits. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This afternoon, MLC School held the Passing Out Parade in recognition of the Year 12 Cadets graduating from their time in the Cadet program. It is always wonderful to\u00a0recognise\u00a0their hard work\u00a0but especially today \u2013\u00a0Congratulations\u00a0Cadets! \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Next week we are looking forward to\u00a0Round Square Week\u00a0with activities from the Prescott Puppy Pageant, a Thrift Store, Service initiatives,\u00a0a Cultural Fair and much, much more! \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I am also eagerly awaiting attending the Town Hall Concert on Wednesday evening! Well done to all our vocalists and musicians on their tireless rehearsals and preparation for what I know will be an amazing evening of\u00a0performances! \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The week culminates in the MLC School Colour Run, raising money for the School’s 2026 Sony Camp. Given so many of the cohort were instrumental in the fundraising, organisation and facilitation of Sony Camp in 2025, I am so looking forward to their energy and enthusiasm on the day! \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
