{"id":45837,"date":"2026-06-05T12:31:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T02:31:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=45837"},"modified":"2026-06-05T12:31:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T02:31:31","slug":"mlc-school-intermediate-shine-at-impro-australia-schools-challenge-2","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/article\/mlc-school-intermediate-shine-at-impro-australia-schools-challenge-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MLC School Intermediate Shine at Impro Australia Schools Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SEMI FINALS!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A hang gliding competition that nearly ends in tragedy when a bird gets in the way, a hunt for the last orangutan, a prison break out with a rap battle and a Roblox playing vampire that meets their match in a young hacker were some of the wonderful story lines explored by the MLC School Intermediate Team at Wednesday night&#8217;s Theatresports Schools Challenge semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by Impro Australia and attended by schools that placed in the top three in their heats the MLC School players showcased strong teamwork, characterisation and imagination while creating stories on the spot.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Claudia Rowe<\/strong> (Year 9)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zara De Mello<\/strong> (Year 8)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Caitlin Ward<\/strong> (Year 9)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kim Doan<\/strong> (Year 9)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amara Sivagurunathan<\/strong> (Year 9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>represented their School proudly and were not only supportive of one another but also the competing teams. It was an extremely tough competition with many strong storylines explored and while sadly our journey ends here the girls are already excited to compete again next year! The Speech and Drama studio would like to congratulate the MLC School Intermediate Theatresports Team for their incredible performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what the team had to say about the competition.<\/p>\n<p><em>I think everyone should join theatresports.
