{"id":45823,"date":"2026-06-05T12:29:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T02:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=45823"},"modified":"2026-06-05T12:29:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T02:29:33","slug":"futures-and-pathways-srs-early-entry-options-2","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/article\/futures-and-pathways-srs-early-entry-options-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Futures and Pathways \u2013 SRS Early Entry Options"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">For students engaging with the UAC application portal, you are advised to consider interacting with the <u>SRS early entry options<\/u>\u00a0\u2013 they may lead to an early offer, and for many students it is another way to collect \u2018back-up\u2019 options.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Steps below refer to the offer rounds:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Click the box that refers to SRS in your UAC application <strong>(by Friday 11 September 2026)<\/strong> \u2013 make sure you have paid for your application \u2013 and then you have \u2018applied\u2019 for SRS. (this is mandatory and only you can do this through your UAC application online)<\/li>\n<li>The school will get a message to \u2018rate\u2019 you \u2013 there is nothing for you to do here<\/li>\n<li>Students will engage with the SRS (early entry rounds) firstly through UAC November Round 1 and have your preferences locked in by <strong>Thursday 5 November 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Make the most of all SRS rounds prior to the Main ATAR offer rounds; you are advised to maximise preferences that are SRS eligible \u2013 to work out which courses are SRS eligible you need to carefully check the policies for each institution<\/li>\n<li>Essentially, any course listed in UAC in the early rounds that are not SRS eligible will be skipped over \u2013 therefore students will typically withdraw some preferences in those early rounds, with the intention to add them back in for the main rounds (<strong>obviously the risk here is that any preferences removed must be added back in by the appropriate date \u2013 which you can work out by looking at the \u2018lock preferences\u2019 date in the UAC offer rounds \u2013 failure to put those preferences back in is a problem \u2013 so be careful with this)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The only exception to taking preferences out for the purpose of SRS rounds is if you have been specifically asked to have a main round preference added into UAC early \u2013 which is usually only for medicine courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">There will be further multiple\u00a0SRS\u00a0reminders to students as we get closer to those deadlines.
