Book Launch of \u2018Belong\u2019 by Sharon Seymour<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As part of our Book Picnic Assembly for Kindergarten to Year 5, we were delighted to celebrate the official launch of the new picture book Belong<\/i>\u00a0by Sharon Seymour,<\/strong> our Teacher Librarian, and illustrated by Freya Goldsmith. It was wonderful to see so many parents attend and purchase their own signed copy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

da Vinci Decathlon<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This week, Junior School students from Year 5 and Year 6\u00a0represented\u00a0the\u00a0School\u00a0in the da Vinci Decathlon. The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate students\u2019 minds across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers,\u00a0cartography\u00a0and legacy.<\/p>\n

Our student representatives have been preparing diligently for this event, and we congratulate them on their success. As I write, I have just received the exciting news that our Year 6 students took out equal first place in Code Breaking<\/strong>. This is a wonderful accolade for our STEM program. Well done to the girls for demonstrating what students in an all-girls school can achieve.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

All Year 1 to Year 6 parents and daughters are invited to participate in an online \u2018Language of Friendship\u2019 workshop as part of our wellbeing program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The link has already been provided but a reminder will also be sent via the MLC School app at 9am on the morning of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I look forward to seeing many mums, grandmothers, aunts, other significant women, and dads too at our Mother\u2019s Day Disco this evening.<\/p>\n
