Tuesday morning saw the\u00a0School\u00a0hold our annual ANZAC Day Service. As always, the service was ably led by our Year 12 Cadets and\u00a0students;\u00a0who shared their reflections\u00a0on the importance of the day, sung both hymns and anthems, performed in the band\u00a0and\u00a0honoured\u00a0Old Girls who have served.\u00a0Thank you to the Year 12 Cadet leaders who have again shown their commitment, strength and shared all that they have learned in their time in the program.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Following the service,\u00a0Year 12 were\u00a0joined\u00a0by Year 11 for a Careers presentation by three Old Girls.\u00a0Cassandra Diamantis<\/strong> (2015) shared her experiences founding the Dream Big Marketing Sydney-based social media agency. Ava Dean<\/strong> (2024) and Angelina Le<\/strong> (2025), who were both recipients of the UTS Bachelor of Accounting Co-Op Scholarship,\u00a0shared their insights into the program. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Next week\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0share reflections on Year 12\u2019s contribution\u00a0to\u00a0and support of Friday\u2019s Back to College Day where MLC School opened the doors and\u00a0showcased\u00a0all that\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0built over 140 years. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Congratulations to Anisha<\/strong>\u00a0Sivagurunathan<\/strong>\u00a0who was selected for the U19s IGSA Netball Team to compete at\u00a0NSW\u00a0CIS Championships next week. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Well\u00a0done to Abby<\/strong>\u00a0Coxsedge<\/strong>\u00a0and Layla<\/strong>\u00a0Alameddine<\/strong> who attended the Sydney University Ngara Years 9-12\u00a0future focus day, experiencing campus and exploring academic skills and futures\u00a0pathways. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Congratulations also go out to Kimberly Chou, Elena Sun<\/strong> and Serena Farley<\/strong> who were on Thursday awarded their Gold Duke of Edinburgh\u00a0at Government House (pictured here with Mr. Glen Mole, Duke of Edinburgh Award Leader). This is a significant achievement, following their focus for many months on skills,\u00a0fitness,\u00a0and community spirit. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
