Rehearsals for the Senior School Production <\/span>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>,<\/em> presented in collaboration with Newington College, are well underway. Students from <\/span>Year 10 to Year 12 have been gathering on Monday afternoons and Sundays, transforming rehearsal spaces into the star-crossed streets of <\/span>Verona. From the Capulet and Montague rivalries igniting in the public square, to the quiet shadows of the moonlit<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Capulet orchard where Juliet’s iconic balcony scene unfolds, our students’ performances bring Shakespeare’s timeless characters to life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, our Stage Crew, with students from Year 10 to Year 12, play a vital role as the production crew, working across sound, lighting, costume and set movement. Their technical skill and creativity help shape Verona’s world from the grandeur of the Capulet household to the solemn still of the churchyard.<\/p>\n

The DDE Department has been extremely impressed by the dedication, collaboration and passion shown by all students involved in this ambitious production. The commitment across both schools is already evident, with rehearsals brimming with energy, focus and a shared love of theatre.<\/p>\n

Following the strong demand for tickets last year, additional performances have been added. Romeo and Juliet<\/em> will be performed in Term 2, Week 7 on the following dates:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
