On Wednesday 11 March, Year 2 went on an excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney and the Art Gallery of NSW. We travelled by bus and were\u00a0very excited\u00a0for the adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the gardens, we\u00a0participated\u00a0in the Connection and Country program. We discovered the fascinating world of local native plants in the gardens. We learnt\u00a0how Aboriginal\u00a0people\u00a0use plants for food, medicine, tools, and weapons. Our guides\u00a0showed us many plants and explained how they were important to\u00a0First Nation\u00a0people long ago\u00a0and\u00a0still\u00a0today.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After this, we walked to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. We explored the Mike Hewson exhibition called ‘<\/em><\/span>The Keys Under the Mat.’<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>We had a great time interacting with the interesting playground.<\/span><\/p>\n

The excursion provided valuable hands on learning experiences that supports our learning in the classroom across various key learning areas.<\/span><\/p>\n
