Week 6 started with International Women\u2019s Day celebrations throughout the Senior school. The focus for luminary time activities were about \u2018women we admire and who inspire us\u2019. The theme for IWD in 2026 is \u2018Balancing the Scales\u2019 and the Gender Equity Committee in Year 12 provided the activities for us.<\/p>\n
Year 10 started working with Character Strengths this week \u2013 a positive psychology programme that helps students to recognise their key strengths. Knowing your key strengths help to build confidence, resilience against challenges and improve relationships. The aim is to support the girls to learn more about themselves and how they relate to their world. Some of the insights we\u2019ve seen so far have been very insightful and interesting. This produces valuable data for us to continue to work with and support the girls as they navigate life in Year 10.<\/p>\n
Peer Support continues this week, and Year 7 have been so positive about the activities run by the girls. Peer Support is a great experience \u2013 it\u2019s not only lots of fun but provides mentoring experiences for Year 7 and leadership opportunities for Year 10.<\/p>\n
Assessments continue and Year 10 have been working well with their teachers and supporting each other. A reminder that if your daughter is unwell and cannot complete an assessment, please complete an Illness\/Misadventure form on Omnia.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n Please direct any questions about subjects and classes to your daughter\u2019s class teacher.
