Each girl received a flower as a token of thanks, with parents and other family members proudly in attendance. Our Principal, Lisa Moloney, addressed the girls, speaking about the opportunities that lie ahead in the coming years.

Next year, our current Year 5 students will complete their final year of Junior School in the Year 6 Centre. It was my pleasure to show many of our current Year 5 parents around the Year 6 Centre prior to the assembly. I am immensely proud of our Year 6 program and the success it brings to our students.

Year 5 Canberra Immersion

The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding to our school in the amount of $30 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.

Farewell to Staff

This week, many of our students had a formal opportunity to thank members of staff who will be leaving our MLC School community at the end of this year.
