{"id":42778,"date":"2025-10-24T11:24:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=42778"},"modified":"2025-10-24T11:24:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:24:15","slug":"ipsha-debating-ended-on-a-high","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/article\/ipsha-debating-ended-on-a-high\/","title":{"rendered":"IPSHA Debating Ended on a High"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was a lot of nervous energy during our long drive to Macarthur Anglican School, Cobbitty as the girls were still discussing their two debate topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>That it should be compulsory for all students to do community service,<\/em> and<\/li>\n<li><em>That we should have a four-day school week<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The two Year 6 teams won both their debates and felt very proud of this accomplishment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Year 5 teams debated valiantly but lost to superior older teams. Despite their disappointment, the Year 5 girls left having learnt many new things to support them for future debates.
