It is a tradition that each of the Inner West Independent Junior Schools take turns to host a Year 6 Social.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Details of this year\u2019s optional Year 6 Social are as follows:<\/p>\n
Thursday 20 November 2025<\/strong> Drop off<\/strong> Pick Up<\/strong> Cost<\/strong> Dress Code<\/strong> Medical<\/strong> Phones<\/strong> Student Expectations<\/strong>
\nCentenary Hall, Newington College, 200 Stanmore Road, Stanmore<\/p>\n
\n6.10pm at the main entrance at the Stanmore Road gates. Staff will guide you to the drop-off point. Parents are to remain in the car.\u00a0(Refer to map by clicking here.)<\/a> Students will be directed to their class teacher to have their name marked off the class roll.<\/p>\n
\n8.45pm (promptly<\/em>) outside Centenary Hall on foot. Parents need to park in the neighbouring streets. Thank you for being respectful of neighbours.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nThe cost of the event is $10.00 per child. This will include a drink and an ice block.\u00a0 It will also contribute to the Addison Road Community Organisation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nThe dress code is ‘smart casual’. Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate. Please ensure your daughter understands the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n
\nIf your daughter requires an asthma puffer or epipen, please have your daughter hand this medication to her class teacher on arrival and collect when leaving.<\/p>\n
\nNewington College requests that no mobile phones or pens are to be brought into Centenary Hall.\u00a0If your daughter is required to bring a phone, it must be stored in a zip-lock bag with her name and MLC School written clearly on it. Your daughter must hand her phone to her class teacher on arrival and collect it at the conclusion of the event.<\/p>\n
\nDuring the Year 6 Social, students will be required to always exhibit exemplary conduct. It is the students\u2019 responsibility to adhere to these expectations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of themselves and others.<\/p>\n
