All swimmers had a great time in Canberra and performed well. Congratulations to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Olivia Burke<\/strong> (Year 8)\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 14 100m FS<\/li>\n<li>10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 13-14 200m BK\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls open 100 IM (PB)<\/li>\n<li>8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 200m FS (PB)<\/li>\n<li>16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 100m Bk\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 50m FS\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Olivia Wang<\/strong> (Year 7)<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 12\/under 100m BR (PB)<\/li>\n<li>21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 12\/under 100m FS<\/li>\n<li>14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 12\/under 50m FS (PB)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Elva Wu<\/strong> (Year 7)\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Girls 13 100m BR\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the week, <strong>Iris Ji<\/strong> (Year 9) and <strong>Ada Savage<\/strong> (Year 9) represented NSW to compete at the 2025 School National Swimming and Diving championships in Queensland.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Iris completed in 50m BR and 100m BR, where she finished 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in 100m BR and 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in 50m BR for her age group in Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ada completed two events (up to Wednesday) so far, she finished 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in the 3m board event and 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in the platform event for her age group in Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">These are the fantastic results for Ada and Iris. We are proud of her effort and results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"mailto:cwong@mlcsyd.nsw.edu.au\"><em><strong>\u2013 Colman Wong<\/strong><\/em><\/a><br \/>\nHead Swimming Coach<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Fencing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>MLC School Triumphs at the 2025 Senior School Fencing Championships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2025 Senior School Fencing Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park brought together some of the most talented young fencers from across the region\u2014and among them, the MLC School team shone brilliantly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, the MLC School fencing team returned home with a haul of medals, marking the event as one of the most successful in recent school history.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>A Haul of Gold, Silver, and Bronze<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">MLC School dominated in both the Teams Foil and Epee events, securing two Gold medals\u00a0and one Silver, underscoring their strength in group performance and tactical cohesion. The teamwork and communication among the fencers were evident as they confidently advanced through rounds against strong competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition to team success, individual brilliance lit up the piste.\u00a0<strong>Felicia Hannah<\/strong> (Year 12) earned a <strong>Bronze medal in the Women\u2019s Foil<\/strong>, showcasing her technical finesse and competitive spirit.
