For students in Year 6 \u2013 Year 9 who are interested in learning to debate or want to improve their skills in a social debating competition we are entering teams in the Sydney Schools Debating competition (SDC) which runs every Friday evening from Week 2 Term 3. We have training with our coaches from 3.45pm\u20134.45pm and Prep and Debates until 6.30pm. Debates are online, so we are based at MLC School in the Senior Centre and compete against teams from schools all over Sydney. This is a social and learning competition giving students the opportunity to speak in debates every week and improve their skills in a supportive environment.<\/p>\n

Register here for Sydney Schools Debating<\/a><\/p>\n We also run a Learn to Debate class as a small group with an experienced coach for Year 5\u2013Year 6.\u00a0 If your daughter is available on Wednesday afternoons and is interested in learning the basics of Debating, we have a small sized class running every Wednesday 3.30pm\u20134.30pm. Their coach, Anikah Sanan<\/strong> was the 2024 MLC School Captain and is an experienced high school debater.
