{"id":41054,"date":"2025-06-20T14:37:21","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T04:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=41054"},"modified":"2025-06-20T14:37:21","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T04:37:21","slug":"nsw-school-vaccination-program-year-7-consent-required-5","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/article\/nsw-school-vaccination-program-year-7-consent-required-5\/","title":{"rendered":"NSW School Vaccination Program \u2013 Year 7 Consent Required"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Wednesday 30 July 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Vaccination date for Year 7 students<\/p>\n<p>If your child is in Year 7 this year, you can now provide online consent for their routine school vaccinations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Year 7, students are offered free vaccines for diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received.<\/p>\n<p>If your child has already had their vaccine, would prefer to privately have it with a GP or if you are opting out \u2013 please write this in an email to\u00a0<a class=\"ms-outlook-linkify\" href=\"mailto:mlcnurse@mlcsyd.nsw.edu.au\">mlcnurse@mlcsyd.nsw.edu.au<\/a>\u00a0so we can provide the number of required Vaccines for the day. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to provide consent:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To complete online consent for your child\u2019s school vaccinations, visit:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/engage.health.nsw.gov.au\/engage\">https:\/\/engage.health.nsw.gov.au\/engage<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Follow the steps to log in to your existing ServiceNSW account. This is the same account you may already use to renew your driver\u2019s licence. If you don\u2019t have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.service.nsw.gov.au\/services\/myservicensw-account\/how-to-create-an-account\">ServiceNSW<\/a>\u00a0account, refer to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.service.nsw.gov.au\/services\/myservicensw-account\/how-to-create-an-account\">ServiceNSW<\/a>\u00a0to create one.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Update or confirm your personal details in ServiceNSW as required.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Complete the School Vaccination Consent Form for your child\/ren. You will need to:\u00a0\u00a0\n<ol>\n<li>Enter your child\u2019s personal details\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide the Medicare card details for you and your child\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Read the linked\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.nsw.gov.au\/immunisation\/Pages\/school_vaccination_language.aspx\">Parent Information Sheet and privacy statement.
