As we conclude Week 5, the onset of cold weather has brought a noticeable increase in colds and illnesses within the School community. We urge everyone to prioritise their health. Please encourage your daughter to stay home to rest and recover if she is feeling unwell, as this is in the best interest of both her and her peers.<\/p>\n

This week, during Luminary time, Year 11 students engaged in two activities aimed at enhancing their leadership skills. The first activity focused on cultivating compassionate leadership. Students practiced the following:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Active Listening<\/strong>, Offering Support and Encouragement<\/strong> and Demonstrating Empathy<\/strong><\/p>\n

This activity highlighted the importance of creating a nurturing atmosphere where everyone feels valued.<\/p>\n

The second activity centred on effective communication, teaching students to:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Provide Clear Direction<\/strong> and Convey Concise Messaging<\/strong><\/p>\n

These skills are instrumental in preparing Year 11 students to become future leaders of the School, where they will eventually need to lead teams and manage various aspects of their schooling effectively. This week\u2019s photos showcase the second activity where students needed to guide their blindfolded peers through a \u2018minefield\u2019 of objects using clear, effective communication.<\/p>\n

The Senior Years production is scheduled for next week. Year 7 students had the privilege of watching their own private performance of the production earlier this week, to which they gave rave reviews.\u00a0<\/p>\n
