{"id":40026,"date":"2025-05-30T12:26:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T02:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/?post_type=article&#038;p=40026"},"modified":"2025-05-30T12:26:01","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T02:26:01","slug":"growing-our-reconciliation-tree","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc\/article\/growing-our-reconciliation-tree\/","title":{"rendered":"Growing Our Reconciliation Tree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To join in celebrating Reconciliation Week we had a pop up art station in the Junior School to grow a Reconciliation Tree together.<\/p>\n<p>The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2025 is\u00a0<em><strong>Bridging Now to Next<\/strong><\/em>, reflecting the ongoing connection between past, present and future.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Bridging Now to Next<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0calls on all Australians to step forward together, to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.<\/p>\n<p>Supported by the Year 5 Art Leaders students decorated images of this year\u2019s artwork, created by Kalkadoon woman\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reconciliation.org.au\/our-work\/national-reconciliation-week\/artwork-and-artist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bree Buttenshaw<\/strong><\/a>. It shows native plants \u2013 which are known for regenerating after fire and thriving through adversity \u2013 to symbolise our collective strength and the possibilities of renewal.
