Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to join us for their daughter\u2019s very first Celebration of Learning. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This week we held our Term 2 P&F meeting for both the Whole School and Junior School. I am so grateful to this committed group of parents. You are most welcome to attend and for those who are unable to do so, thank you for supporting our P&F initiatives. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Junior School Photo Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pre-Kindergarten and Junior School House (Kindergarten \u2013 Year 5) photo date is set to take place on Monday 2 June 2025.<\/strong> Further details can be found in this newsletter.<\/a><\/p>\n

Opera House Concert<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In this week\u2019s newsletter edition you will be read about our renowned, high calibre Opera House Concert. I am immensely proud of the Junior School students that performed from Year 3 to Year 6. The quality of music at MLC School never ceases to amaze me. Congratulations to all involved and our thanks to all the dedicated staff who made this memorable evening possible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

National Simultaneous Story Time<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event where a specific picture book is read in schools and libraries across Australia at the same time on the same day. What fun Pre-K to Year 5 had on Wednesday performing a theatre play of this year\u2019s book “The Truck Cat” by Deborah Frenkel and illustrated by Danny Snell. Please take the time to read about it in our library news<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

da Vinci Decathlon<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

On Tuesday the Junior School had student representatives from Year 4 to Year 6 participate in the da Vinci Decathlon. da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate students\u2019 minds as they compete across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy. Our student representatives have been meeting and working towards this event, and we congratulate them on their success. Year 6 came third in Science. We are so proud to see young women achieving such an accolade in a traditionally male dominated domain. Well done girls!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
