\"\"Congratulations Year 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week has been a whirlwind of heartfelt Year 12 farewells and celebrations as the Class of 2024 marked their graduation from MLC School. I am so proud of the way that our Year 12 students conducted themselves throughout the week; we all enjoyed a week of fun, friendship and memory making.<\/p>\n

The Class of 2024\u2019s week has been filled with \u2018lasts\u2019 including their final lessons, assemblies, and Chapel Service. Our Old Girls hosted the traditional Chocolate Recess and welcomed them to the Old Girl community.<\/p>\n

Our final day of celebration on Thursday began with the unveiling of the commemorative pavers dedicated to members of the graduating class. Following this, we gathered for a magnificent Valedictory Service and Assembly that filled Potts Hall to capacity, concluding with the traditional whole School guard of honour for the graduating class. To cap off a wonderful day, last night students, staff, and families came together to dance the night away at the Valedictory Dinner, creating memories that will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all who organised and participated in these events; it has truly been an extraordinary week filled with love and pride. Head of Year 12 Fiona Pow<\/strong> has done a truly remarkable job in leading and mentoring the group and her efforts were very much on show this week. Thank you also to their former Heads of Year, the Year 12 Luminaries, the Heads of House, Andrew Simos,<\/strong> Heads of Department and teachers, Head of Teaching and Learning Linda Emms,<\/strong> Head of Senior School Joanna Graffen,<\/strong> Executive Assistant to the Head of Senior School Rochelle Dagher,<\/strong> the Deputy Heads of Senior School Elisa Scala<\/strong> and Andrew Taylor<\/strong> and the IB coordinator Priscilla Quintana.<\/strong> The Marketing and Community Relations Team worked tirelessly all week (and in the weeks prior) to ensure that our events ran smoothly and to time and they did! It really does \u2018take a village to raise a child\u2019. There are many others who have given their time and expertise to these students over the years, and I thank them all.<\/p>\n
