\"\"In celebration of Science Week 2024, the Scholar Captain, Moira Peach,<\/strong> and I, along with the help of some amazing teachers, conducted a series of intriguing and unique experiments during Monday Lunchtime, to showcase the wonders of science and technology. Our aim was to spark curiosity and foster a love for science within the MLC School community.<\/p>\n

We arranged a variety of hands-on experiments for students to enjoy, such as film canister rockets, cartesian diver, self-blooming flowers, oil colour cascade and making big bubbles! A teacher and a couple of Year 12 science students were positioned at each experiment, offering their knowledge to enrich students understandings as to how and why each reaction occurred.<\/p>\n

We also featured a large demonstration called \u2018Elephant\u2019s Toothpaste\u2019, where students watched from a safe distance as large volumes of colourful foam erupted into the sky. Overall, these experiments were highly successful, promoting participation, enhancing scientific understanding, and inspiring a greater passion for science and technology.<\/p>\n
