Yoga Club
Yoga is not just for adults! These Year 3 and Year 4 girls have been doing yoga for seven weeks now and they have enjoyed a range of activities ranging from breathing exercises, balances, poses that challenge their muscles, flowing movements that get the heart rate up and at the end of each class, some relaxation.
Yoga teaches children how to focus and can improve self-management skills. It can also reduce stress and anxiety. The many benefits of yoga go beyond the physical. While it does improve strength and make muscles more flexible, the girls have been encouraged to approach movement in a mindful way in order to remain calm. Each and every girl has participated wholeheartedly and gained enjoyment from the practice. It has been great to watch them develop each week. Thank you girls for being wonderful participants!
