Term 1 Adventure Camps

This week, all of Year 9 received their first briefing on their Adventure Camp. Students will attend either the Cadet Annual Field Exercise (AFX) Camp or the Urban Horizons Adventure Camp in Week 11. Both camps will run from Monday 7 April – Friday 11 April 2025. All students enrolled in the Cadet program must attend the AFX camp.

Urban Horizons is a five-day program filled with fun and adventure, in an unfolding journey taking them around the Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs. Students organise their food, travel and selves as they navigate and negotiate their way across the city, learning teamwork and real-life lessons.

More information about the Urban Horizons Adventure Camp will be communicated to you next week (week commencing Monday 17 February 2025), along with medical and permission forms. Your assistance in returning this information promptly is greatly appreciated.  

Study Hub+

This term, MLC School has expanded the Study Hub+ program to all interested students from Year 7 to Year 12. Study Hub+ is a private, pay-per use tutoring program that aims to provide students with a quiet focused environment in which they can maximise their study time with assistance on hand when required.  The sessions are led by Ela Huber, our Program Coordinator, and run with a team of highly supportive mentors, most of whom are pre-service teachers.

The study sessions are a phone free zone meaning students are required to hand in their phones at the start of each session. In addition to subject specific support our mentors can provide additional support in setting up study plans, examination preparation techniques and completion of assessments.

You will be able to register your daughter two weeks in advance via the Audacia weekly newsletter. There is also an option to sign up on a termly basis. More information about this program can be found here.
