Year 7

The girls have continued to revisit their study habits in Luminary time this week, completing a Stop, Start, Continue reflection activity to help them refine their processes. They also had a little time to work together on their House Illuminate discs, some welcome time out for them.

I know quite a few students are using the Discord messaging platform (more information can be found here). One major concern is how easy it is for strangers to contact young people and how easy it is to share images and graphic content. If you are allowing your daughter to use the app, it could be a good idea to monitor who she is talking to and have a discussion with her about the importance of tight privacy settings. Like many messaging apps, the age limit is 13 years and over, and for good reason. Many of our Year 7 students should not be using these apps at all.

Just a reminder about uniform. The girls should not be wearing hoodies under their blazers. They can only wear the jumper and/or blazer if they are cold. All our classrooms are warm and well heated. I would appreciate your support in this area.
