Year 7

Year 7

This week Year 7 enjoyed their Wellbeing Day on Thursday. The sun was shining, and the girls were excited. Firstly, they were presented to by Burn Bright who spoke about navigating friendships, making new connections and positive. The Year 7 students then headed outside for some physical activity and teamwork fun games. In the afternoon session, the students were broken into smaller groups and did a session with Toolbox Education about managing emotions. Year 7 were engaged and interested and I encourage you to continue the conversation about these topics at home.

Next Thursday, Year 7 will be off to the Athletics Carnival, a highlight of the school calendar! Please ensure you read all permission information so that your daughter can attend and is in the right place at the right time.

The following will be in place for any student requiring adjustments to support their participation in the Athletics Carnival. Please refer to this article for more details on transportation.

  • A quiet room near the Nurse’s station will be available for students needing an alternate space to take a break. This will be staffed by the Learning Enhancement Department.
  • A staff member from the Learning Enhancement Department will be actively visible throughout the event to support students to participate if required.
  • Students will also have access to First Aid if needed
  • Students should notify their Head of Year by Wednesday 3 September if an alternative form of participation needs to be considered. This information will be communicated to the Learning Enhancement Department.

Have a wonderful weekend and please reach out to your daughters Luminary or teachers if you have any questions.
