Year 2 – Congratulations to Elyse

Congratulations Elyse!

Year 2 student Elyse Ma has received the Silver Award in the JIA Future Artists Award 2025, organised by the Japan Illustrators’ Association (JIA). This global competition collects children’s artworks from around the world, aiming to discover future talents in illustration, recognise outstanding young creators, and foster international cultural and artistic exchange through illustration.

The illustration depicts a grand celebration held to welcome the birth of a royal princess (the white cat in the sky). The King and Queen stand at the centre, surrounded by the Royal Orchestra and other entertainers. The whole town has gathered to join the festivities, and three fairies have come to offer their most heartfelt blessings.

What a delightful artwork Elyse, the creativity, planning and passion that you put into is obvious, well done!
