Year 12

Since the season of giving is approaching, this week in Luminary, Year 12 have discussed what they are grateful for now that the year has passed and planned some ways to show acts of kindness toward others through the week. They also enjoyed some time with their Little Sisters and exchanged hand-made gifts for one another. It was lovely walking around the Luminaries groups and seeing the joy on the faces of both Year 12s and Year 8s.

During our Year meeting we had celebrations and several certificates awarded for student’s efforts in sport and mathematics. We also discussed self-compassion after the first term of getting real about Year 12. Thank you for all you are doing at home, I can appreciate there has been challenging moments while you are supporting your daughters.

Some of our Year 12s led a Cultural Safety session with the staff on Wednesday afternoon as part of our weekly Professional Development. I congratulate their involvement and commitment to this important endeavour of open dialogue with staff.

The great majority of students have completed their assessments for their first term of Year 12. I hope many of them can relax and celebrate this achievement during the weekend.

Formal lessons will conclude on Wednesday 7  December 2022. Speech Night is a complusory event for all students on Thursday 8 December held at the International Convention Centre.

• Musicians have been asked to arrive at 2.30pm for a 3pm sound check.
• Year 12 2022 and prize winning students have been asked to arrive at 3.30pm and be seated by 3.45pm.
• Year 7 to Year 11 2022 students are asked to arrive at 4.15pm. 
• Parents and Guests are asked to arrive at 5pm for 5.30pm commencement.
