Year 11 VET Entertainment Students Complete White Card Training at NIDA
On January 31, Year 11 VET Entertainment students took part in their White Card training at NIDA Parade Theatres. This nationally recognised certification is essential for anyone working in the live performance industry, as it covers important Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles specific to construction environments, including backstage areas and scenic workshops.
The training, run in partnership with Newington College students, focused on preparing students to work safely in construction settings. It included both theoretical and practical components, meeting the requirements of the unit CPCWHS1001: Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
Well done to all the students for successfully completing this important training!
