Year 10
This week in Luminary, our Year 10 students began exploring possible work experience placements in greater detail. While the Term 4 Work Experience Week may feel far off, it’s never too early to start preparing. With many schools running their programs simultaneously, we strongly encourage parents to support their daughters in securing a host employer as soon as possible to avoid missing out on valuable opportunities. All placements must be organised and the required paperwork submitted by the end of Term 3.
To support this process, students are actively building their employability skills through their Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) unit Life Beyond School. Year 10 is developing their skills of writing resumes, crafting cover letters, and preparing for job interviews – essential tools for securing and succeeding in their placements.

Congratulations to Jocelyn Su on her acceptance into Round 2 of the Junior Science Olympiad Talent Development Program following her participation in the taster course. The program runs through Term 3 and Term 4, covering Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Well done, Jocelyn!
I love hearing and sharing the successes of our Year 10 students – please encourage your daughter to share her achievements with me and during her Luminary time!
