Year 10

Year 10

Year 10 have made a strong start to the academic year and seem to have adjusted their focus. It’s been a pleasure getting to know the students better and I have been impressed by their approach to learning and new challenges. I spoke to the cohort on Tuesday morning about the increased expectation of Year 10, the challenges that they will face, and a reminder that there are so many people here at school to support them.

Next week, starting Monday 3 February (Week 2), Year 10 will do their Careers testing which is an exciting opportunity for them to start to really imagine what may lie beyond their time at school.

A reminder that school photos will be held on Monday 3 February 2025 (Week 2). The summer uniform must be worn and students are required to bring a blazer. Fake eyelashes should not be worn and hair should be one natural tone, and jewellery only as allowed in the Uniform Code.

I’d encourage all parents to spend some time with their daughter in the next week or so discussing how they are managing their study and what systems they have in place. Getting into good habits now will make Year 11 and 12 run much more smoothly.

I hope all our families have had a good week and have enjoyed a return to routine. Warm wishes as well to our families celebrating Chinese New Year.
