Sydney Science Park

Sydney Science Park

Sydney Science Park is a 280-hectare mixed use greenfield development in Western Sydney and is set to become one of the largest centres of research and development in Australia. The developer, Celestino, is working with CSIRO to build a city that is fit for the future with measurable improvements in liveability, sustainability and resilience.

Last week Year 6 students bared the wet and soggy weather to visit the Sydney Science Park site in Luddenham. The students toured the site and rotated through a range of industry-led activities on energy, water, circular economy, transport, urban development, smart cities, urban agriculture, urban heat and health.  The focus was emersion in real-world learning projects.

Lots of engagement and learning took place throughout the day. Students will now use their greater understandings to develop modern proposals that will benefit smart cities of the future as they work jointly on their showcase projects.

We look forward to family and friends joining us for our showcase presentations on Tuesday evening 16 September 2026.
