Author Visit
Sarah Armstrong visited the Year 3 and Year 4 classes on Monday. They were excited to learn about Sarah’s writing process and were highly engaged as she discussed the magical themes in her books. It is always inspiring to meet an author face to face. This personal connection allows readers to see beyond the pages and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the work that goes into creating a book.

Book Parade
Last Friday we celebrated the joy of reading by dressing up as our favourite book characters. Due to wet weather, the girls paraded for our parents and carers in Daphne Line Hall. It was fabulous to see how the girls embraced the celebration with imagination and creativity. Our Year 5 Library Leaders were roving reporters. Here are some things the girls had to say:
‘You get to express yourself and read lots of different books.’
–Esther Bastin-Loy (Harry Potter) 2M
‘You can have crazy adventures in stories.’
– Celeste Jones (Cat in the Hat) 2K
‘I love celebrating books because they are funny and exciting.’
– Millie Elsegood (Shenanigan Swift) 2P
‘I love getting to dress up as a character. Every time a character goes on an adventure, they need to solve a problem.’
– Lara Zhuge (Rosie the Twilight Dragon) 2K
‘I love that we could read with our parents’
– Irene Kim (Mina from Blood City Rollers) 2K
