National History Challenge – Contested Histories

Last term six Year 5 girls were selected to represent MLC School in the National History Challenge – Contested Histories. Nectaria Constanti was selected to proceed to the next level for judging. Nectaria contested the view of the first British settlers that Australia was Terra Nullius – land with no people. She also highlighted that Australian aboriginals had many skills with regard to hunting and gathering food and social communities. We wish her all the best at this next level of the competition.
