Japanese students Look Forward to The New Year

In Japanese, students have been busy drawing New Year’s postcards.

Nengajo are traditional Japanese New Year’s postcards that hold significance as a means of exchanging good wishes for the upcoming year among friends, family, and colleagues.

2024, is the Year of the Dragon, therefore the postcards feature dragon imagery to symbolize good fortune and positive beginnings. In addition to conveying well-wishes, these postcards serve as a cultural practice deeply rooted in Japanese tradition, fostering connections, expressing gratitude, and sharing news as a meaningful way to commence the New Year.
