Assembly this week

This week’s assembly celebrated student leadership and creativity. We heard about the plan for a jam packed Round Square Week and the Prescott Puppy Pageant was launched which was very exciting given it is one of the happiest days of the year! Sarinna Cai (Year 12), Mind Challenge Captain, announced the launch of our very first Model United Nations conference hosted at MLC School, which is a wonderful achievement.

Our creative students were invited by Design Captain, Cassia Davies (Year 12), to enter a competition to design our School’s 140th Anniversary Logo! To celebrate MLC School’s 140th anniversary in 2026, we are hosting a logo design competition to capture the spirit of our milestone celebration and inspire the final logo used throughout 2026.

It was also exciting to hear the announcement of the House Trivia competition and the House Touch Football competition. Congratulations Sutton and Lester!

Uniform reminder

Wearing the correct school uniform is essential in fostering a sense of unity, pride, and professionalism among students. A reminder that teachers will be issuing Accountability Points to those who are not wearing uniforms to our expected standard. Students arriving with false eyelash extensions will be required to go home and remove them before re-entering school premises. Additionally, it is important to remember that blazers must be worn as part of the uniform to and from school, and earrings should adhere strictly to the School’s guidelines.  

Staffing news

Polly Meadows will be leaving her position at our School at the end of this term. Polly has been an integral part of our staff, contributing greatly to the academic and personal growth of our students. Polly will be returning overseas to teach in an international school and we wish her all the very best.  Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that Megan Westwood will be taking Polly’s Psychology classes moving forward, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to enrich these classes.
