Learning Conversations

This week the Junior School has hosted our Parent/Teacher Learning Conversations for your grade and many of our Specialist Teachers. I trust this opportunity to meet your daughter’s teachers online or face-to-face was valuable. If your daughter has a different Mathematics teacher, a reminder that you have an opportunity to meet with them next week.

Wakakirri Joy

On Wednesday evening our co-curricular dance students from the ballet, jazz and contemporary ensembles competed at the Wakakirri Story Dance Challenge. I cheered our girls on (loudly with all the other MLC School parents) as they performed on stage at NIDA. This year’s theme, ‘Mind Over Matter and Tales of Inner Strength’, was expressed through dance using the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty, presenting a story of what happens on the ‘other side of the wall’. Our thanks to our dedicated Dance Department. Congratulations to all these girls – more details can be found in the Co-curricular section of this newsletter edition, by clicking here.

Father’s Day Raffle

To support the P&F, the Junior School holds a raffle for Mothers and Fathers Day each year. Our hard-working P&F will be so appreciative of Junior School families making donations for this year’s Father’s Day Raffle.

Some prize donation ideas include experience gift certificates, hampers, LEGO, carwash vouchers, books, hotel stays or any other gifts of any size – all donations are highly appreciated. (No perishable or food items).

Please leave donations at Junior School Reception, clearly marked with your name (so we know who to thank). Thank you in advance for your kind support and generosity.

More information about the upcoming Fathers Day events will be in next week’s newsletter.
