HSC and IB examinations

We wish our Year 12 students well as they have completed their HSC examinations. IB examinations will finish on Monday 11 November 2024. Good luck to all as they embark onto their next chapter whether it be study, work, travel or whatever brings joy. We hope you are leaving MLC School feeling equipped to be agents of change in the world. Thank you to our teachers, staff and parents, always working hard to support the Year 12 students throughout their journey.

Year 11 Retreat

This week our Year 11 cohort embarked on their retreat at Katoomba. The Retreat serves as an opportunity for Year 11 students to come together as a group to participate in a range of student led and recreational experiences. Students had opportunities to strengthen connections or form new ones, develop leadership skills, practice gratitude and resilience, and look forward to the year ahead with optimism. This experience is the milestone as they transition into Year 12 and consider what will be their legacy at MLC School. We hope our students had an unforgettable experience filled with learning, leadership, and fun. I also extend my gratitude and thanks to the dedication and efforts of our staff who ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for our students.

Remembrance Day

On Monday 11 November 2024 we hold a special Remembrance Day Service. This is an important day in our calendar as we acknowledge those who have lost lives or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations.

We will observe one minute’s silence at 11am to honour our service personnel and those who have suffered in service of Australia.

Maintaining High Standards

As we near the end of the school year, can I please request your ongoing support in maintaining high standards for our students and school. The Parent Information Handbook and Diary outline all pertinent information regarding MLC School policies, expectations and processes. We value our partnership with families in order to support your daughters to achieve their personal best. Thank you for your continued engagement and support to ensure that your daughter follows the school processes in areas such as school attendance and leave, school uniform, ICT and mobile phone use.

I hope you have a restful weekend.
