Wakakirri Magic 🌟

On Tuesday 29 July, our Senior Years Wakakirri team took to the stage at Riverside Theatres Parramatta with their 2025 entry, ‘I Am Sam’ — a powerful story of identity and self-acceptance. 💫

🗣️ I am Sam. I dream to be me,
But I shrank myself down to fit in, don’t you see?
Am I Sam? Just part of the crowd?
Sam I am! To be me, I'm allowed.

Their bold storytelling, expressive choreography, and unwavering support for one another earned them the Spirit of Wakakirri Award for Storytelling 🏆 — with more awards to be announced at the conclusion of the NSW heats!

👏 Huge congratulations to our Co-curricular Jazz and Contemporary Dance Companies and the Year 11 VET Entertainment Crew for bringing this story to life on stage! 💃🎶🎬
