Year 10 Career Profile Program – Next Steps

Year 10 Career Profile Program – Next Steps

We are pleased to share the successful completion of the Year 10 Career Profile testing and follow‑up interviews. Students accessed their reports and arrived well prepared, asking insightful questions and demonstrating a genuine willingness to reflect on their strengths, interests and future possibilities. We thank students for the effort they invested, and we have received very positive feedback from parents and carers, many of whom found the process insightful and valuable in supporting students’ ongoing growth, goals and aspirations.

Students will continue their career development through a range of structured exploration activities during Academic Care and Luminary time, as well as group sessions across the term. These sessions will allow students to extend their research through the Career Avenues platform, alongside curated resources and videos provided by The Careers Department.

This independent career research will support students in identifying industries and workplaces of interest, helping them to source suitable placements for the dedicated Work Experience program in Term 4, running from:

Monday 30 November to Friday 4 December 2026

During this time, students will be based in the workplace with their host employers and will not attend school. This valuable experience provides students with first‑hand insight into industries and roles they may be considering for their future pathways. Students are encouraged to begin seeking and securing host employers early, as many schools run work experience programs during the same period. Further information about the program will be shared in the coming weeks.
