Year 7 PDPHE Build Strong Foundations

Year 7 PDPHE Build Strong Foundations

This term in Year 7, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) students are building strong foundations for lifelong health through a combination of practical movement and theory learning. In practical lessons, students develop fundamental movement skills such as agility, coordination and spatial awareness through inclusive Playing for Life activities that promote confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of physical activity.

In the Choosing Wisely theory topic, students explore how everyday decisions impact health and wellbeing. They examine nutrients, energy needs, and healthy eating guides to better understand balanced food choices, as well as how emotions, peer influence and risk‑taking can affect decision‑making. Together, these learning experiences support students to make informed, positive choices for their health.
